Cheveux brésiliens : découvrez pourquoi ils sont tant convoités par les femmes

Brazilian Hair: Discover Why It's So Coveted by Women

We have already discussed here on the blog the differences and advantages of Indian hair, East Asian hair, and European hair. But what about Brazilian hair? What are its main characteristics? And why is it so highly rated by women and professionals worldwide? You'll find out all about it now!

Brazilian hair has always been one of the most sought-after hair types by professionals and consumers worldwide. The reason? Well, we can say that in addition to having an excellent structure, it is generally light and quite silky. Furthermore, the texture of Brazilian hair is certainly one of the best on the market, as it practically doesn't tangle, especially compared to Indian hair, and still manages to have its own shine.

Despite the great influence of Asian hair (Chinese, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Indian, Malaysian, Bangladeshi,...) and also European hair (Eastern European hair and beyond), Brazilian material is widely exported abroad. A large part of the national hair production is sent abroad; after all, it's loved worldwide! Mainly because Brazilian women are known for taking very good care of their hair; after all, they invest heavily each month in hair products to maintain it.

However, it's always good to be very careful when buying your Brazilian hair, as many online companies that claim to sell hair from Brazil often import hair from China and sell it as Brazilian wefts and as if it came from Brazil, because they are cheaper.

Wefts mistakenly called "Brazilian." Because this hair comes from China, not Brazilian hair. The price is reasonable, cheaper.

It should also be mentioned that about 70% of the hair sold in the hairpiece and wig industry comes from China, 20% of the circulating hair comes from India, while the remaining 10% comes from Brazil and other European countries. Therefore, it is important to ensure that the physical or online store where you choose to buy yours is truly trustworthy, as you might choose original Brazilian hair but receive hair processed in China instead. Have you ever experienced this?

Nowadays, the phrase "Brazilian wefts" has become a commercial term because, following the success of Brazilian hair (weaves, wigs, extensions, etc.), the hair industry in China has performed transformations and treatments on hair bought in India, mixed with synthetic fibers, wool, plastics, vegetable, and animal materials (Yaki hair, horse tail hair...). All of this is treated with good products (sulfur, acids, silicones, paraffins...) then put into styling devices for texture, which makes the wefts pretty and shiny.

You will find that this hair wears out with use; after wearing and washing it, it loses its shine, becoming dull and opaque. Whereas real human hair has an indefinite lifespan. The more you wash it, the prettier it gets.

The quality of Brazilian hair
First, we can say that Brazilian hair has a very similar strand to Malaysian hair, of excellent quality, a thicker strand with little risk of tangling. Another advantage is that Brazilian hair offers an enormous variety, with great variations in models and textures, straight, curly, wavy, kinky, etc. Something not often seen elsewhere.

In total, there are eight classifications (types), which places Brazil first in terms of the number of hair variations.

And for example, if you compare a Lace Front wig or a Full Lace prosthesis made of Brazilian hair and another made of Indian hair, you will certainly notice that the Brazilian one offers a softer-to-the-touch strand that is receptive to products like coloring or bleaching, a thicker strand that is easy to style and does not tangle.

Furthermore, our original Brazilian hair, even if it has undergone a certain process beforehand – the famous chemically treated hair – still offers excellent quality. And that's not to mention the benefits of hair from the southern and southeastern regions of Brazil, considered "noble," with AA+ hair quality and category.

The price may be higher, but the cost-benefit ratio is undeniable.

Characteristics of Brazilian hair

– Type 1 (straight hair): This is normally the most coveted hair type by the Brazilian public, but only 18% of the population has this type of hair (Amazonas region).

– Type 2 (slightly wavy hair): Slightly wavy hair is perhaps the most curious hair type, as its shape and movement are completely natural. Moreover, it is normally the hair that tends to look beautiful with different cuts, even the boldest ones. We can say that this hair type covers 26% of Brazilian women.

– Type 3 (wavy hair): As incredible as it may seem, this is the hair type that best represents our women, as 29% of them are born with it.

– Type 4 (lightly curly hair): This hair is already classified as Afro and curly hair. However, only 8% of Brazilian women are born with it. It is also an ideal hair type for voluminous cuts with light layers.

– Type 5 and 6 (kinky hair): Covering 17% of the population, they are considered Afro hair, but with a finer texture.

– Type 7 and 8 (Afro hair): Afro hair is the rarest hair type among Brazilian women. Only 2% of the female population has it.

Original Brazilian hair wefts can be bleached and colored in all colors, even very light blonde.

Conclusion: If you value quality on your head, then avoid scams and imitations. Opt for the original and authentic ones.
