Hair Planning: How to do it? What is it?
Share
Today, we're going to talk about something essential for hair health: hair vitality and beauty! Our hair undergoes a lot of damage and therefore needs treatments that will replace lost components. So today we're going to talk about hair planning or a hair schedule.
What is a hair schedule?
A hair schedule is a programmed series of different hair treatments, which, together, will treat your hair with great care - each product performing its task and taking care of each damaged strand.
It's worth remembering that a hair schedule is for ALL hair types, and it's essential for hair in chemical transition!
Yes, you might be thinking what I thought: is it not enough to moisturize every 15 days with my mask to have beautiful hair? Your hair has diverse needs that must be treated with varied and specific components for the type of damage they face.
Hair Schedule: hydration, nutrition, and reconstruction
How do I set up my hair schedule?
The question is: How is your hair?
If you say: "My hair is normal and not very damaged," here's your official hair schedule:
Official Hair Schedule:
Step 1 Step 2 Step 3
Week 1: Hydration / hydration / Nutrition
Week 2: Hydration / hydration / Nutrition
Week 3: Hydration / hydration / Reconstruction
Week 4: Hydration /Hydration / Nutrition
Now if you say: "My hair needs more repair and is more damaged," I present the "alternative" hair schedule, which is the most popular among curly hair types:
Alternative Hair Schedule:
Step 1 Step 2 Step 3
Week 1: Hydration / hydration / Nutrition
Week 2: Hydration / hydration / Reconstruction
Week 3: hydration / hydration / Nutrition
Week 4: Hydration / Hydration / Reconstruction
As you can see, the hair schedule is divided into: hydration, nutrition, and reconstruction. Well, let's clarify the hair schedule:
1. Hair Schedule: Hydration Step
This step of the hair schedule is responsible for returning water to our hair strands. And what are hydrating masks? The components responsible for replacing water in the hair strand are vitamins, vegetables, fruits, sugars, etc. If the mask contains any of these components in its composition, it is a hydrating mask.
When does my hair need it?
If your hair is dry, rough, and dull, it needs hydration.
Hydration is one of the most well-known hair treatments of all time. Whenever we think about hair care, hydration is the most obvious option. And for good reason: this procedure is responsible for restoring water and essential nutrients that are lost daily. Thus, maintaining a hydration routine will rid the hair of dryness, ensuring healthier hair.
Key active ingredients for hair hydration:
* D-Panthenol: Provides long-lasting hydration, softness, and shine;
* Olive Butter: Deeply moisturizes hair in the long term;
* Extra Virgin Coconut Oil: Rich in Vitamins E and Fatty Acids;
* Aloe Vera: Hydrates, regenerates, and helps combat hair loss. Natural antioxidant;
* Functional Amino Acids: Regenerate hair fiber and provide softness and strength.
2. Hair Schedule: Nutrition Step
This step is responsible for restoring the hair's natural oiliness. And what are nourishing masks? The components responsible for replacing oil are all types of butter – shea butter, cocoa butter, etc. – and pure vegetable oils – coconut, olive, castor, argan, almond, etc. You can perform this step with a mask made from these oils or even use them as a pre-shampoo treatment (UMECTATION).
When do I need hair nutrition?
If your hair is dry, very frizzy, lacking definition, dull, and rough, it needs this step. The results are incredible, including defined curls!
What is hair nutrition?
Curly and coily hair tends to have a greater tendency to dry out, as its curl pattern prevents scalp oiliness from reaching the ends. Thus, among the most suitable treatments for eliminating dryness is hair nutrition.

Hair nutrition is the procedure responsible for restoring hair lipids. But what are lipids? Basically, they are fats produced by the sebaceous glands of the scalp, and their function is to provide a protective layer for the hair, leaving it soft, flexible, shiny, and with aligned cuticles. Thus, performing hair nutrition is the best way to ensure that hair is nourished, hydrated, protected, more beautiful, and healthier.
Hair nutrition can be done in three ways:
Nourishing masks: Creams composed of oils and butters that will restore hair oiliness, with a fast action that can vary between two and five minutes.
Vegetable oil humectation: Treatment in which the hair is bathed in vegetable oils before washing. In this, the product is left on for 30 minutes, then the washing procedure is followed normally.
Nighttime humectation: Treatment indicated for very dry hair. Nighttime humectation is done with vegetable oils or hair mayonnaise, which are applied to "dirty" hair and act on the strands during sleep, only being washed the next day.
Main assets:
* Castor oil: It has a strengthening action and helps fight hair loss due to breakage;
* Coconut oil: Rich in Vitamin E and Fatty Acids;
* Argan oil: Controls frizz and leaves hair healthy;
* Mango oil: Rich in Vitamins A, C B1, B2, and B5;
* Sunflower oil: Moisturizes and increases hair shine;
* Avocado oil: Rich in Vitamins A, D, and E. Promotes regeneration and nutrition of the hair fiber;
* Egg protein: Rich in vitamins A, B complex vitamins, and antioxidants
Humectation: do you know what it is?
Humectation is nothing more than an oil bath for the hair. It is a vegetable oil-based treatment capable of nourishing the hair, replenishing necessary oiliness, and recovering hair damaged by chemicals and other factors.
Humectation is a step in nutrition.
This treatment is ideal for all hair types, especially curly, coily, frizzy, and transitioning hair.
My hair loves nutrition, it's incredible, it's so beautiful and shiny...!
3. Hair schedule: Reconstruction Phase
This step of the hair schedule is responsible for returning mass, i.e., vitality and strength to the hair. Reconstruction is also one of the responsible parties for the much-desired HAIR GROWTH, and the use of bomb shampoo, for example, can be added to the treatment.
This is one of the most important steps, without a doubt! What are reconstructive masks? The components responsible for restoring the strength and structure of our hair strands are creatine, keratin, arginine, collagen, proteins, cysteine, etc. All masks containing these components are reconstructions.
When do I need a hair reconstruction?
If your hair is thin, fragile, elastic, falls out a lot, and has split ends, it needs this step.
Warning: this step is very powerful, it tends to make the hair strand stiff. Therefore, if your hair really needs it, do it at most twice a month. Excess keratin causes the opposite effect on the hair.
What is hair reconstruction?
When hair feels brittle, thin, and porous, mainly due to chemical actions, the best way to restore the hair fiber is the reconstruction step of the hair schedule. Reconstruction works by replacing proteins in the hair strands, especially keratin.
As this is the most powerful step of the hair schedule, reconstruction should be performed according to the actual needs of the hair, meaning that only extremely damaged and elastic strands, which need to recover all lost hair mass, should undergo weekly hair reconstruction. Otherwise, every 15 days is the most appropriate period.
* Amla oil: Rich in Vitamin C, Flavonoids. Reduces split ends and strengthens hair;
* Olive oil: Rich in Vitamins A, D, K, and E.
Keratin
Keratin is a protein produced by the human body, which accounts for about 90% of the composition of the hair strand. It is responsible for ensuring the strength, elasticity, and resistance of the hair fiber, as it is rich in amino acids and a powerful reconstructor of damaged fiber.
Key assets for hair reconstruction
* Collagen: Retains water and evens out cuticles, in addition to hydrating, maintaining curl shape, and preventing breakage;
* Creatine: Repairs damage and replenishes the hair's keratin chain;
* Arginine: Reconstructs hair strands from the outside in;
* Cysteine: Acts in the reconstruction and strengthening of hair strands, evenly aligning the cuticles.
According to your porosity test, what does your hair need most?
It's good that after completing two to three months of the hair schedule, you take a short break of one week for the hair to "breathe" and not get too "congested."
Did you understand WELL? This is my official hair schedule!
Do we already know how to identify the needs of our hair?
So, let's go for the hair schedule!
Let's remember that it's also good to use an anti-residue shampoo every 15 days or once a month. I choose to use it on my reconstruction day. We know that our hair strand does better with moisturizing shampoos; however, it's important to take a day to detox, i.e., clean thoroughly so that the hair absorbs treatments better throughout the month.
