Weaving: Famous hair extension technique!

This type of sewn-in extension is ideal for people with fragile hair or who cannot use any chemical treatments, but still wish to lengthen their hair.

However, as with other techniques, this procedure should also be performed by a professional.

We know that girls love to constantly change their look. And whenever they think about a change, hair is at the top of the list. This is why Brazilian weaves are one of the most sought-after options by women worldwide, and new techniques are constantly emerging.

The sewn-in Brazilian weave is one of the oldest techniques still widely used, mainly because this technique completely conceals the person's natural hair, giving a very natural effect.

 

There are several techniques: traditional weave, glued weave, interleaved strip weave, ring weave, American weave (crochet), instant weave (clips), etc....
Almost all cultures know weaving, but each has its own way of applying it. Even if the technique remains the same, the innovations and creations of each are impressive. There are several ways to do weaving: from the simplest to the most complicated.

Weaving can be used in three ways:

* Full or closed weave - is one in which 100% of the hair is braided and the weave covers the entire head.

 

Hiding the person's natural hair 100%.

 

 

* Strip weave - This is where the braids are interleaved (one row with a braid, one row of loose hair, and so on from bottom to top).

* Open or half-head weave - is one in which only half or three-quarters of the hair is braided to apply the weave only to the braided hair.

 

 

How long does it take to do the weave?

The process is one of the shortest, taking an average of 1 to 2 hours. This duration may vary depending on the amount of hair.

How long does it last?

The weave lasts approximately 1 to 2 months. It is recommended to remove the weave to sufficiently hydrate natural hair and restore its beauty. Wait a few weeks for the scalp to breathe before re-braiding and putting the weaves back in.

Except for synthetic hair, natural hair weaves can be washed and hydrated, in addition to special care (masks) for maintenance. 100% human hair can be bleached and colored to any color you desire.

How to maintain the weave?

It is recommended to wash hair with a salt-free shampoo, which allows for deep cleansing and prevents the appearance of fungi, then condition it to hydrate and seal the cuticles.

Yes, weaves on the head can be washed and hydrated, but special precautions must be taken:

* Never use hot water - the water should be lukewarm;

* Massage the strands without rubbing them;

 

* Conditioner should not be applied near the hairline;

* Dry your hair with a towel or hairdryer - never leave your hair damp. Humidity can cause various hair problems;

* Comb only with wide-tooth combs or soft-bristle brushes;

* Never sleep with wet hair.

Remember that braids prevent the scalp from breathing and make hygiene difficult. This is why it is imperative that they remain dry.

To ensure everything is in order, it is very important that your hairdresser monitors the evolution of your hair. A visit to the salon once a month can help with maintenance.

Finally, weaving can be done on hair of all lengths, even the shortest. Since hair extensions precisely involve sewing hair wefts onto braids, the length of the person's natural hair is not a condition for this technique.
